Dad, Kids & Teens Camp

A weekend at Camp Fircom gives dads an opportunity to connect with their kids and teens while enjoying a variety of fun and engaging programs on offer. Dad, Kids & Teens Camp is a blend of structure and choice, giving families a chance to play, relax, discover, and learn together, while also allowing dads time to hang-out with other dads.

After arriving and settling into your chosen accommodation Friday evening, you'll have time to get to know the other families at camp. After dinner, there will be games, a campfire, and snacks - all facilitated by our friendly staff! Late night programs offer dads, kids and teens options to wind down the day as they choose.

Saturday morning you can choose to participate in a polar bear dip in the ocean before enjoying breakfast. The morning and afternoon program sessions feature a variety of options suitable for a wide range of ages and interests. Younger children will be accompanied by their parents to their age-appropriate program options and older kids and teens are welcome to participate independently or stay with their families during the blocks – the choice is up to your family. If you want to have some free flowing self-guided time to enjoy your time at camp as a family, you can do that too – none of the sessions are mandatory!

Sunday morning we will slow down the pace and enjoy more unstructured time, followed by the exciting camp-wide extravaganza. Past years have included events like the high octane cardboard box car rally, the family relay race, and the creative construction of catapults for an egg launching competition. Alternatively, families that would like to head out on a hike can join a guided group, or choose to explore the forest trails solo to finish off the weekend.

The real magic of Dad, Kids & Teens Camp is about relishing an entire weekend free of interruptions caused by phones, chores, tasks and obligation. The only commitment is to enjoy the weekend at your family's own pace and to take advantage of the opportunity for connection that camp fun provides. Uncles, grandpas, cousins and other male caregivers are all welcome!

Getting to/From camp

Horseshoe Bay Public Dock

Camp Fircom staff will sign you in at the park near the Horseshoe Bay Public Dock.

Boat Departures

Summer 2023 departure times will be available in advance of the summer camp season.

The water taxi crossing takes approximately 25 minutes but there can be delays with loading, winds, etc.

Sometimes it can take some time to load to boats, so please be patient with us as we get everyone to and from camp safely.
